Executive Director & Director of Azgo Festival – Mozambique

Born in Maputo in 1982, Júlia Eduardo Novela is a prominent figure in Mozambique’s cultural scene. She began her career as a dancer before establishing herself as an actress, producer, and festival director, building experience through both national and international collaborations.

Holding a degree in management and cultural studies, she is also active in the film industry. Today, she serves as the Executive Director of XHUB, a cultural enterprise incubator, and as Director of the Azgo Festival, where she plays a central role in promoting Mozambique’s artistic and cultural influence.
