Artist – Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire

Amee Slam (real name Bamba Aminata) is a multidisciplinary Ivorian artist and a leading figure of slam poetry in Côte d’Ivoire. She is the president of the “Au Nom du Slam” Collective.

Originally trained as a lawyer, she transitioned to artistic creation after a career in audiovisual media. Since 2010, she has performed in more than 100 venues and at 34 international festivals.

She has received multiple awards, including the Special ECOWAS Prize at MASA (2020) and Artist of the Year at the Liliwomen Festival (2023).

Deeply committed to women’s rights and to the art of poetry, she presented her first concert-show, N’Zassa, in 2023 at the Institut Français in Abidjan.
