Title of the Show: My Identity
C’Katcha, slam artist, actor, playwright, director, artistic director, and theater educator trained at INSAAC, and winner of the Best Slameur of ECOWAS award at MASA (2022), discovered slam in 2015 and has since passionately championed Ivorian cultural diversity, weaving deep connections between art and heritage through his performances.
His sixth solo show, My Identity, is an immersive slam experience blending music, theater, storytelling, humor, and dance. It offers a captivating journey across Côte d’Ivoire’s cultures, languages, traditions, masks, and proverbs—from North to South, West to East—celebrating diversity, social cohesion, peace, hospitality, and inter-ethnic alliances, while honoring ancestral names and practices threatened by oblivion. Beyond words, the performance is a vibrant tribute to national unity, building bridges in post-crisis contexts to transcend divisions and prejudices, reconnecting hearts, bodies, and the threads of ancestors.
