Founder & Artistic Director, QDance Center – Nigeria

Qudus Onikeku is a choreographer, researcher, and founder of the QDance Center in Lagos, an artistic incubator operating at the crossroads of arts, society, and innovation.

A leading figure on the international choreographic scene, he blends dance, installation, performance, and technology to explore bodily memory and Yoruba traditions through a distinctly futuristic lens.

His work has been presented at major festivals and institutions, including Avignon, Lyon, Centre Pompidou, TED Global, and the Venice Biennale, and is part of the National Gallery of Canada collections.

Onikeku is also a visiting professor and the first “Maker in Residence” at the Center for Arts, Migration and Entrepreneurship at the University of Florida.

His ATUNDA project develops technology for movement recognition and archiving, and he recently launched the QSchool of Movement, Sound and Media Art, a platform to nurture Nigeria’s creative youth.
