Title of the show: BLOOOM
A journey full of poetry, fantasy, surprising encounters, and absurd humor, BLOOOM celebrates the power of wonder and the magic of new beginnings, even amid the uncertainties of modern life.
After a successful international career in dance, Ake de Soares expanded her artistic path as an actress, director, and producer, co-founding TG – Teatro Garoupas with Austrian director Arno Kleinofen in Cologne, Germany. Their collaboration has received critical acclaim in both Brazil and Germany, earning recognition for its innovation and depth.
Teatro 4Garoupas (T4G) presents BLOOOM (creation 2025; direction: Ake de Soares; choreography: Andreas Denk and Eugênia Labuhn; dramaturgy: Arno Kleinofen), a tender, poetic dance-theatre piece for children from 5 years old. As part of the Perform Europe initiative, BLOOOM is touring rural European villages through the program “Bringing Family Theatre to Villages Across Europe.”
The story follows Gargadenia, a curious girl who stumbles into a mysterious and enchanting world of nature. Like flowers seeking to take root, she navigates the challenges of arriving in a strange new environment—exploring what it truly means to settle, grow, and adapt. Filled with poetic imagery, unexpected encounters, and whimsical humor, BLOOOM invites audiences to witness the miracle of growth, the courage to explore unknown territories, and the joy of planting new roots even on unstable ground, celebrating wonder, resilience, and the magic of beginnings.
