Yann Bana, an acclaimed drummer from Oumé, discovered his passion for rhythm early, turning tin cans, barrels, and pots into makeshift drums. Showing the signs of a natural artist from a young age, he moved to Abidjan with his mother, joining the Village KIYI of Were Were Liking (Les Reines Mères) to develop as a dancer and choreographer. He earned 2nd place in the RTI Star de Demain and toured as a dancer with Mareshall DJ.

Returning to his first love, the drums, Yann trained intensively on his own and formed a band that delivered explosive performances at the Festival Ivoire Drumming, marking the Ivorian music scene. He then expanded his career with national collaborations, stage performances, and studio work as a versatile musician. In 2018, he toured internationally for a year with the American jazz ensemble Jazz Mataz and has since collaborated with top Ivorian and international artists as both drummer and artistic director. A dedicated member of Positive Heart, Yann Bana has established himself as a consummate musician in the Ivorian showbiz.
