As part of the partnership between the ACERCA program, implemented by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the Spanish Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire, and the Abidjan African Performing Arts Market (MASA), a training workshop was held from December 15 to 19, 2025, at the Maison du MASA. Unlike previous sessions, this edition took place after the announcement of the call for applications results, targeting exclusively the 29 selected cultural managers from various artistic disciplines.
The main objective was to equip these professionals with the necessary tools to understand the realities of MASA and interact effectively with programmers, buyers, and other professional stakeholders expected at the next edition, scheduled from April 11 to 18, 2026. Led by Ms. Valentina Zanelli, an international technical expert, the in-person workshop (daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) focused on the profession of cultural manager, cultural markets, and relationships between artists and programmers. The participants concluded the training satisfied, with their certificates in hand.
